of the identified Parks.
These would then be floated

Development
of Colony Level Parks, Theme
Parks and Open Spaces
There are around 250 plus
colony parks and 2200 open
spaces in GHMC limits. Most
of these parks require developments,
refurbishments with security
arrangements. Some of them
have either been encroached
or have become the centers
for anti social activities.
On the other hand, people
especially the children
and the old aged in many
colonies have to travel
long distances for leisure
and recreation. Hence, GHMC
has prioritised the rejuvenation
of the colony parks along
with the development of
new open spaces within GHMC
limits. To this effect GHMC
has already iniated design
development of the selected
colony and theme parks in
the first phase for further
