The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation proposes
to plant 10Lakh Plants during this planting season i.e.,
June to September 2008. As a part of this programme, plantation
will be taken up in various areas such as:
Avenues
Residential Colonies
Govt/Public and Private Institutions
Community/Local parks
Open Spaces
Schools/Colleges/Universities
Tank fore shore areas
Major parks
Nalas
This massive
plantation programme is sheduled to commence with the
onset of mansoon in all the GHMC areas involving Govt
and Non-Govt Organisations,Self Help Groups, Resident
Welfare Associations, Senior Citizen Associations and
Private/ Public Institutions in the city.
The Greater Hyderabad Municiapal Corporation
will provide the required number of seedlings and tree
guards wherever necessary to protect the plants. In
order to ensure success of this programme, GHMC seeks
the support and participation of citizens of Greater
Hyderabad and Non-Government Oraganisations. The details
of suitable areas / locations for plantation and required
number of plants to be planted in the respective areas
may please be informed to the Forest Wing and Horticulture
Wing of GHMC for timely taking up planting.
